Just a square or two more...
Monday, June 15, 2009 at 12:56PM Well, here's the rest of the interiors shots of the Hershey's Milk Chocolate Suite, including the rather nasty before snaps of the bedroom and living room (as you can see it was all a bit tired looking). I think Karen Sealy and I managed to pull off quite the miraculous makeover in just a couple of days - she took on the living room and my challenge was the bedroom - and I wanted to send a major shout out to everyone who helped make it happen. First off, thanks to Hershey's for the oppurtunity (and all the delicious inspiration!). Mucho thanks to Elte for all the gorgeous furniture and linens, inVU Drapery Co. for the luxe vanilla velvet drapes, linen sheers and fun toss pillows, Carpet One for finding the perfect carpet to replace that stained old wall-to-wall, Graham & Brown for the stunning paintable wallpaper and Para for the perfect paint, Teatro Verde for yummy accessories and flowers so breathtaking that no-one could believe were real, photographer Angus Fergusson for shooting the three chocolate bar prints above the dresser and illustrator Paul Dotey for designing that fab I Heart Hershey's poster, all framed in Ikea's great Ribba frames! If there's anything you'd like the deets on that I've forgotten just drop me a line... [Photography: Stefano Barbera]

Arren - those lamps are perfect for the palate in my living room. Where are they from?
This is amazing...totally gorgeous. You are such a talent. And I LOVE your new headshot!!!
Delicious & absolutely beautiful! I hope all of your hard work means that these photos will end up in print?
Please let us know where you found the fab floor lamp. Thanks. Congrats on a job well done!
I agree about the headshot!! sooo hawt!!
and great job on the room, it looks very delicious!
Stefano's shots look great too!
love this. love the inspiration, the execution, the final product. really fun project!! lucky you and lucky them!
Great job Arren! That room looks delicious!
It looks beautiful. Well done. Nice new pic of you too. x
Lovely and yummyy! And I must agree with all the above, your new head shot looks lovely too : )
Great work Arren! I loved all of your ideas and finds AND eating fabulous chocolate while I was checking them all out!
I'm hungry now. great job. I want to see the bedskirt, though.
That looks great Arren. I love the shots of the bright colours that you put into the dark brown room. Excellent work!
Can you tell me, please, where you got the amazing white frame that you hanged over the bed? I've been looking for a frame just like that. So far, the closest I've found is from Ikea, but it's black and plastic, and a little too small. I either need something in white or cream, or it needs to be paintable.
Looks amazing Arren!
Also wanted to let you know that I've included you in my blog awards! Check it out:

It's so hard to believe that those are the same rooms that appear in the 'before' photos! You both did a terrific job and Stephano's photos are beautiful.

Hi Jessica, I scored those lamps at HomeSense. One of them was an ultra cheap $30!
Hi SReed, Karen found that great arc lamp at Elte. And yep, I'll make sure to post if the rooms end up in a mag!
Hi Janice, That mirror was a crazy find at HomeSense. It was damaged and Las Vegas gold until I did a bit of a repair job and painted in white.
Thanks everyone for the kind words on the spaces And oh, lol, my new headshot is all due to the talent of one Mr Michael Alberstat!
Cheers, Arren
What a transformation from old to new! Great job Arren and Karen. I really like the use of contrasting colours, both dark and light, throughout the room.
Question Arren - did you also find those lamp shades at HomeSense? I always find it difficult to find proper shades there.
Hi Kimberly, Yep, those shades were a score at HomeSense and I stitched ribbon from Mokuba onto them to gussy them up a bit. If you're on the hunt for shades both Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware always have a brill selection, in case you don't get lucky at HomeSense!
Cheers, Arren
Hi Arren!
Great to meet you in Toronto last month at the live viewing of this project. FYI, I featured the bedroom you styled in one of my articles:
