Arren Williams is the name, and I'm a stylist, editor and trend reporter. You'll catch my work regularly popping up in print in the likes of the National Post, House & Home and elsewhere. I'm also a guest expert on Citytv's CityLine, and you can occasionally find me on HGTV as well as on ABC 7 News in Chicago.

To keep things fun I've tapped a couple of friends - Julia Black and Jenn Hannotte - to contribute their views on design too. Enjoy!

Ask Arren > Light Fixture

My boyfriend and I purchased an unusual vintage light fixture for our dining room. It's mirrored with smoked glass and we thought it was pretty one-of-a-kind until we noticed an identical light in your living room when it was featured in Canadian House and Home. Can you tell us who designed it and when it was made? Any markings on ours have been rubbed off over time.

Hi Taylor, Wow, who knew there was another slightly kooky hexagonal chrome-and-smoked-plastic pendant lamp out there! I was just up a ladder checking for any labels and I'm sorry to say, there's none. So really, it's anyone's guess as to where it came from!

Cheers, Arren
